Every weekend, millions of matches happen across parks, schools, and municipal pitches all over the world. Millions of goals, saves, and moments worth reliving.
And when the final whistle goes, nothing remains.
Professional football has a multi-billion pound content industry. Grassroots football has a parent with a phone and a WhatsApp group.
Pitchwise changes that. We take any match footage and turn it into something worth keeping. Highlights, stats, match graphics, team pages, season archives. The content layer that grassroots football has never had.
How it started
We met five years ago playing football together at the University of Bristol. Between us we studied Computer Science, Machine Learning, and Innovation. We played every week, and noticed the same thing: nobody was capturing any of it.
The goals, the saves, the celebrations, the howlers. Gone after the final whistle. No highlights, no stats, no record it ever happened.
Philip built Pitchwise's original tracking algorithm for his dissertation, using nothing but a single phone. Liam and Jeremy joined him to take it further, designing the mount and app that sit behind it for their dissertations. That's what Pitchwise is today.
Since then, we've won multiple grants, partnered directly with leagues, and grown to testing with 30+ teams. We're backed by Innovate UK, the University of Bristol, and were named the top AI startup across Oxford and Cambridge universities.
But we're still on the sideline every Saturday. Still building. And we're just getting started.
